these restrictions for a pc card hard disk or network adapter. I was
wondering if anyone knew how to get VPC to recognize an allen-bradley 1784
PCMK/B card, it's an adapter for DH+ and DH485 communication. Even if it
were very difficult, anything anyone could think of would be a help.

That article pretty specifically covers VPC for macs, but the network card
and harddrive stuff is still not direct access, but rather through shared
networking or the shared files (which is like a network share in a very local
loop)

Accessing anything else is totally of the question and access for the
network and harrdive still runs through the virtualized hardware (the drive
sharing loops through the virtual network adapter, just to add extra
complexity!)

Sorry. The unfortunate problem with virtual computers is that they don't
interface with real hardware.
