Virtual PC Freezes when laptop not connected to Docking Station

Hi all,

I posted earlier this year with "Virtual PC Freezes when host
disconnected from network". Bill Grant (thanks for the response)
suggested installing a loopback adapter. Which unfortunately didn't
resolve the issue.

Since my posting, back in September I have not had to use VPC while
disconnected from my work network, until today. I have discovered that
the issue is NOT network related. It is the lack of docking station
that appears to be the cause.

Today I moved desks, plugged into the network and my VPC experienced
the freeze issues.
However, I did not have my docking station. So I tested my VPC running
with my laptop plugged into the docking station with NO network
connection and the freezing has gone.

Does anyone have any ideas?

system to run on full power and keep the hard drive running while on
