I'm running VPC w/sp1 on a windows 2000 host, running windows 2000 as the
guests as well. After I have 4 running it doesn't let me start any more, the
fake bios screen starts up and then turns right back off. If I close one it
will let me start one more, so I figure its limiting me for some reason. I
have memory and disk space left, I've googled vpc guest limits and thus far
haven't seen anything. Does anyone have an idea what my problem might be or
if there is a limit?

The evaluation guide has a section that should give some pointers on
allocating for guests:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc/evaluation/evalguide.mspx (pages
19 and 20 discuss memory).
I find that the suggested memory allocations are tight.

In general, I would expect that the host, any applications running on the
host (including VPC), and four W2k guests would need more that 512MB. You
should be OK at 768MB. Not knowing what you are running in the guests, I am
just guessing.
