Virtual PC crashing, can"t End Task

The most recent occurance was when shutting down a virtual PC, both the
virtual PC and the console windows turned white, Task Manager shows them not
responding, and there are duplicates of them in Task Manager. (I believe my
previous experience(s) with this was also when shutting down a virtual
machine.)

End Task/End Tree in either Applications or Processes does nothing other
than bring up the "Report this to MS" box. I just can't get rid of them,
short of rebooting the physical host.

Anyone else experience this, or know a better solution?
