Keyboard stops responding in VPC 2004 SP1

Message:

I am using VPC 2004 SP1 for programming in an VM win98 environment on a WinXP
Pro SP2 host.

In the last couple of weeks my keyboard has stopped responding in VPC
whenever a popup occured.
So I exited Outlook Express before starting VPC.
My keyboard still stops responding.
When I print, I receive a popup message that the print job is sent to the
printer.
I can't disable this popup message, but I loose the keyboard anyhow even
thoug I can't see any popups.

I should mention that my host key combinations does work and so does the
mouse.
My host key is currently "Alt Gr", but I have tried other combinations.

Before XP SP2 and before VPC 2004 SP1 there was never keyboard problems.

Then I installed SP2 on my host and a couple of months later the problems
began.
I found VPC SP1 on the Internet and installed it.

Then my VPC was ok for about 3 weeks.
Now I loose keyboard support in VPC after approx. 5 min.

I have tried to reset the VPC but it does not solve the problem.
There is only one useful solution I have found, and it is to save state on
my VPC and shut down my host PC and turn off the power.

As mentioned in "VPC 2004 - Keyboard Locks Up Frequently" I think it is a bug.

I would like to know how I can get my VPC running again with keyboard
support. ?
