Message:Ooops - sorry about the premature post. I just read in the help that USB
ports are not supported in the VM. IMHO this is a glaring omission. Does
anyone from MS know if or when USB ports will be supported in Virtual PC?

Message:USB is not available in a guest. It is not implemented. You can only use
the emulated hardware provided to a guest by VPC. Search the VPC Help on
"emulated hardware" to see the list of supported hardware.

Message:It is frequently requested. Microsoft has not stated that usb support is
scheduled on a future release. If MS is planning to, no one who knows is
permitted to say.

Message:VMware has support USB in the guest for quite some time. I suggest
using that if you wish to use USB.

Message:Thank you for responding. My interest in USB support in the guest is to use
a VM to install and test applications that control scanner transports that
connect via USB and require loading special drivers and perhaps USB dongles.
