Virtual PC 2004 SP1 Hibernation Problem

There is definitely a problem with Virtual PC 2004 SP1, if the host PC goes
to standby or hibernation. Until Microsoft deliver a fix for this, I have
found a combination which works quite well, certainly with XP and NT as guest
operating systems.

First, save the SP1 "Virtual Machine Additions" CD image. Then unistall VPC
and re-install without SP1, but use the SP1 "Virtual Machine Additions" on
the guest PCs. This appears to be quite stable, survives host machine power
changes, and seems to deliver better VM functionality, plus the VMs work well
on hosts running VPC either with or without SP1.
