The installation went fine (well, it took forever, but), however, I cannot
get sound out of this bugger. When I go into HardDrak I cannot somehow get
the system to recognize, or install a sound card. Any suggestions greatly
appreciated.

You have to use sndconfig to configure the SB16 in Mandrake. HardDrak

Now that you mention it, yes, I did have to install it as it's not in the
default install.

I have all my mandrake stuff at home, but I know it's on the install media
somewhere...

my OS2Warp soundcard setup for the SB16 (A220, D1, H5, M330) but still no
sound. Am I out of luck? Is there another angle? Thanks again.

One quick thing though, if you are using kde, do you have system sounds
turned on and the volume up high enough? (probably so)
