After I've installed Virtual PC on my laptop, the machine will "blue screen"
on startup (during the "network connection" or "security" part of startup but
before I get to the logon screen of Win2000. If I remove the network cable
from my PC, then it will startup. I have seen this behavior with both the
Trial version and with VPC 2004. My configuration is:
Dell Latitude D600
1 Gig Ram
2 20 Gig hard disks

Others in my organization are running VPC ok.

If it is the network driver then what is the procedure? How would i disable
it? I can't even get past the login screen (it crashes during the login
procedure. I am not loggin into a domain, just the local laptop). The only
way to login is to safe mode it... but then i can't see anything network
related. I have tried both VPC 2004 and VS 2005 with the exact same results.
I have been forced to restore out of safe mode both times.

My network driver is up to date according to Windows update. My machine is a
Dell Inspiron 4150.

Check the Dell site to see if you have the latest driver. The Windows
Update site can be many months behind.

I updated all drivers. There were some drivers that were newer on the Dell
site. But it didn't make any difference. The blue screen says

BAD_POOL_CALLER

When i upplug the Dell wireless Truemobile card the machine boots all the
way. But as soon as i plug the card into the laptop it blue screens.

well. tried a new card, and that didn't work. The debugger shows vpc as being
