Virtual PC on Media Center 2005

Source: microsoft.public.virtualpc

Message:

I have a MCE2005 PC and am thinking of purchasing an Apple Powerbook. I
currently have a Sony laptop that I use for web browsing, office applications
etc. and only use the Media Center for watching TV etc. What I want to do is
run Windows Applications off my MCE2005 PC and access them using Remote
Desktop on the Apple at the same time that I watch TV on the media center. I
realise that normally when one logs on using remote desktop, the currently
active user is logged off. i.e. it is impossible to log in using remote
desktop on the Apple and watch TV on the Media Center at the same time.

What I propose to do is install Virtual PC on my Media Center, install
Windows XP Professional on this virtual PC and then try to access this
virtual PC using remote desktop on the Apple.

Does anyone know whether I will be able to do this and still watch TV at the
same time without being logged off?

I do not want to use a Media Center Extender to achieve the same result
because they do not currently have DVI output. Similarly, I do not want to
use Virtual PC for Mac because of its performance issues.

Thanks in advance for your help.
