Shares on VPC Host not accepting password

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 on my host machine.
On my VPC I am running Windows 98.
Both machines belong to the same workgroup.
I have a passwor set on my host machine for my username.
On my VPC I used the same username and password.
Whenever I try to connect to a share on my host machine from my VPC It asks
me for a passowrd (not a username and password, just a password).
I type int the password I use for my user account but it says wrong password.
WHat is a fix for this.
I have VPC Additions installed.

Hi Brent,

I have this working at home - so it is most likely to just be a
configuration issue. You should make sure that the user account that
you are logging into Windows 98 with has permission to access the file
share.
