I have been using my VPC for mostly software issues, but now I need to get
access to USB and Firewire ports on my Virtual Computer. Are there tutorials
on how to do this, or is it a situation where they should all be showing up.

I have printers connected to my real Computer and when I create the Virtual
Computer, I was expecting to see the Add New Hardware Wizard or be able to
print.

Any assiatance would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

You can use USB and Firewire storage devices via Shared Folders in
Windows and DOS, but again the devices are not directly accessible via
their native ports.

Is there an upgrade available that would allow me to do this. I'm using
build 582.

No changes have been made to this functionality. You can use a usb or
firewire hard drive via a shared folder, but you cannot perform hard drive
operations such as format, etc. A .vhd file can be stored on a firewire or
usb hard drive, but that is handled by the host.
