Still unable to "see" CDROM Drive

I have posted before and received just one answer about this. How do I
connect to the CDROM from a DOS6.22 VM? I was advised to use "CDROM.SYS",
but where does this file come from? VM Additions will NOT install because
you don't have a CDROM drive. Catch-22!

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of CDROM.SYS so that I can try and
connect to my CDROM?
