I have installed a W2k3 Server on Virtual PC running on a Laptop with WinXP
Sp2. I want the Server with a fixed IP to be reached from the external
Network and I want the Server to reach the external Network.
I told VPC to use the physical network card of my Laptop an to assign the
W2k3 Server the same IP adress. But I get an adress conflict...

What have I to do ?

NW Card on Laptop:

IP:192.168.0.100
SN: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 193.158.124.143

W2k3 EPE on Virtual Server
IP:192.168.0.103
SN: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 193.158.124.143

WXP SP2 firewall deactivated

From my host I have Internet access butI can't ping the Server
From my Server I don't have Internet, can't ping my Router(.1) and cant't
ping my host (.100)

My target is to make my server to a DC wich can be reached from external
clients, What have I to do?

i have a REALTEK 8139 nic. Intel 2100b wireless, ms loopback i and cisko vpn
client all are deaktivated. I dont know where I can find the offloading
parameter but I've installed sp1 for vpc and i think it deactivates
offloading automatically

You can't have the same IP address for both, they have to be different.

Nothing wrong with that I can see.

It sounds like your VM has another networking problem. What NIC do you have
on the host? Make sure all offloading options are turned off is one thing
to check.
