Cannot capture LPT1 port

Hi all,

I'm running XP Pro SP2 as the guest OS and have created several VM's that
run great with one exception: none of them can use the LPT1 port. When
starting a VM I get a message saying that the VM wasn't able to capture the
NONSPOOLED LPT1 port. As far as I know I don't have any software on the guest
OS running that claims the LPT1 port.

Any ideas?

This was a patch that came out with Service Pack 1 for VPC2004. The problem
was that if someone were to print to the host machine and the VPC machines
printers at the same time, it would lock both pc's and you would be forced to
reboot them both. The workaround is to disable lpt on the VPC and use the net
use command to map LPT1 to the local printer that is shared on the host
machine.
