Hi,

I'm having trouble installing the VM Additions on Longhorn running under
Virtual PC 2004 SP1. I've checked the MSDN knowledge base which says I
should wait for Longhorn to recognize new hardware....did that, but I'm still
running into the same error alert:

OLE has caught a fault 0x80000003 on behalf of the server
C:\.....\IDriver.exe.....

Configuration:
IBM Thinkpad T40 1.6G P4 w/ 1G RAM
WinXP SP2
Virtual PC 2004 SP1
600M devoted to Longhorn VM
Longhorn build 4074 (unchecked)

The errors seems to be thrown by the installshield (version 8)

I have also installed all hardware (leaved it running for about 2 hours)

I have used the checked version, so that doesn't make any difference.

Maybe it has something to do with my grapical card (have read some
information about issues, but can't realy believe that it affects the
installshield). Going to try to install it on my other laptop.

I never did get this resolved, although someone in the longhorn forums said
this seems like a new error.

I repartitioned the drive and just installed there--worked well.
