Assigning IP address via Router

I have a Router which is currently set to assign IP addresses automatically
(starting from 192.168.2.1....) which it successfully does for 2 PCs I have
on my network. Is there anyway of getting it to do this for a Virtual PC I
have installed on one of these PCs ie I need the Virtual PC to have an
address starting 192.168.2.

I need to open Ports to my Virtual PC via my Router but the Router will only
let me configure IP addresses beginning 192.168.2.

Any ideas most welcome.

Thanks Robin. I've tried this but unfortunately when I change my Networking
options under Settings to anything other than NAT I no longer can get an
internet connection on the Virtual PC i.e. I've changed it to be the name of
my Wireless Network Adapter.

BTW is that right the option in Settings - Networking is for the name of my
Wireless Network adapter as opposed to the name of the actual Router?

......also apologies that there's another identical post from me on the same
subject on this board, it said the original posting had failed!

Yes - VPC has no way of knowing what your router is called. It is your
adapter that it is using, that is why the adapter name is used.

Unfortunately I can't have a wired connection. Think I've hit a brick wall -
tried a few different driver versions for the Linksys Wireless Network
Adapter but to no avail. And I believe I can't set a static IP address into
the format I want i.e. 192.168.2 and use NAT.
