I have a Windows2003 server based application that requires an additional exe
to perform some database manipulation on a periodic basis. This additional
exe will not run on the server (it crashes it). Unfortunately the vendor is
not very helpful, and suggests we run this application on a seperate box. We
have deployed this on a windows2000 pc and it works fine. However, this
means I have too much tin in my computer room.

Can I run Virtual PC on my Windows2003 server, and run a Win2k session?

Is this a supported configuration, or do i need to run Virtual server???

Virtual Server 2005 brings additional features, notably clustering, which
you do not appear to need in your description.

Go apply Virtual PC 2004 SP1 if you need Win XP SP2 guest support (to expand
your test bed if desired).
