High CPU usage with Virtual PC 2004 Service Pack 1

Hi,

I am experiencing a problem with Virtual PC 2004 using excessive CPU time
since installing Service Pack 1. I am running Windows 2000 Server as the
Guest OS on Virtual PC 2004 Service Pack 1. The Host OS is Windows XP
Professional Service Pack 2.

Simple tasks such as copying files from the Host OS will use 100% of the
available CPU until complete. I have only tested this with Windows 2000
Server as the Guest OS. This was definitely not happening before I installed
SP1.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi There,

With VPC SP1 the performance settings were changed by default - you
should go into the performance options and change it from "Run at
maximum speed" to the other option.
