OS/2 VM not seeing directory contents

Source: microsoft.public.virtualpc
Sent: 12/15/2004
From: Bob Babcock <(email address - cut out)>
Message:

This is strange. I've got
VPC 2004 SP1
Win/2K host
OS/2 Warp 4 VM
NTFS directory D:\Virtual machines\OS-2 shared folders
shared so OS/2 sees this as D:
Subdirectory D:\DataImport (as seen by OS/2)

The problem is that OS/2 sometimes cannot see the contents of
D:\DataImport. When it fails, I can make the contents reappear by renaming
the directory (from either the host or the VM) to all lower case, all upper
case, or 8.3 style with mixed case. A DIR from a command prompt has this
problem, as does the spreadsheet Mesa/2.

I first saw this after applying SP1, but sometimes it works. Just now it
failed and rebooting the guest didn't fix it but rebooting the host did fix
it. VM additions were updated after installing SP1. Any suggstions?
