Unable to create DSN

Hi,
I have tried many times now to create a DSN in a Virtual PC (2004) Session.
The system is set up as follows:
The PC is running Windows 2003 Server Std Edition (english).
The Virtual PC is running Windows XP (swedish).
I have administration rights on both the PC and in the Virtual PC.

When we create a System DSN to a SQL-server everything seems to go well and
the Test completes without errors. However, when the guide closes and you
return to the list of DSN's there is simply no DSN i in the list. It just
doesn't get saved.

I know that we are running VPC 2004 on Windows Server 2003, which you get a
warning for that it is not optimized for. Can this be the reason?

Is there anyone who has any idea why this is, it would be greatfully
appreciated.
