wondering if anyone has seen this before, and may know a workaround:

host: windows 2000 pro
host: ram = 768
host: has 72 gigs HD space free

guest: win 98
guest: ram=64 (recommended)
guest: totally clean virtual disk. no OS installed yet.

upon booting from a boot disk (win 98), host freezes. must hard reboot.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
