The VPC SP1 installation went fine. So far I have updated the vm additions
on my XP Home SP2 vm and the only thing that broke was my Avast! anti-virus
program. It worked after the SP1 update to VPC but as soon as I updated the
additions Avast! stopped with an error "2 - cannot find the file." I will
probably switch to AVG anyway, but a heads up to all.

Well if we are going to explain the outcome of the install... here is a
good way to muck things up.

1) Install VPC2004
2) Install VS2005
3) Install VPC2004 SP1

At this point, I could create new VMs via VPC2004 but kept getting an error
about a NULL mac address when starting the new VMs. Uninstalled all and
then just brought back VPC2004 + SP1. Will try adding VS2005 back later
today to see if both will coexist.
