Hi there,

I heard a rumour that Microsoft were going to release a service pack for
Virtual PC 2004 for Windows because XP SP2 slowed it down rather a lot. Can
anyone confirm if this true ?

I have to confess that since installing SP2, my virtual machines have been
significantly slower - but I don't know if anyone else is suffering with this
problem.

There hasn't been an official announcement on that, but
from what information is available, it will include:
- fix for AMD hang/blue-screen
- Guest XP SP2 performance fixes
- allow Windows NT to run on a host with a Prescott
processor

I don't remember anything else specifically being
mentioned in the group. And I'm sure there are other
things in the list than just these.
